About LokCinema: Bringing Big Screens To You
LokCinema is a community-driven cinema exhibition network transforming how India experiences movies beyond metropolitan multiplexes. Founded by New Delhi filmmaker and producer Mohit Dhawan and operated under Gemdust Solutions LLP, LokCinema bridges the gap between Indian storytellers and the hundreds of millions of viewers living in underserved tier-2, tier-3, and rural markets.

The Problem We Are Solving
India produces more films than any other country in the world, yet has fewer than 8 cinema screens per million citizens—most of them concentrated in a handful of metro cities. Across heartland states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan, entire districts have zero active cinema halls, forcing passionate audiences to watch theatrical releases on five-inch mobile screens.
Proven on the Ground in Bihar
LokCinema launched its first public community screenings in Bihar, converting accessible community spaces into vibrant, high-definition big-screen theatrical venues. Without the multi-crore capital expenditure and multi-year delays of traditional brick-and-mortar multiplexes, LokCinema delivers authentic communal cinema experiences at ticket prices built for heartland families.
Leadership
LokCinema was founded by Mohit Dhawan (Founder & CEO), an alumnus of Delhi University and founder of line production company Logixila, combining deep film production expertise with scalable grassroots exhibition operations across New Delhi, Mumbai, and Bihar.
